HISTORY OF HERSHEY BAR The Hershey Bar is The Hershey Company's trademark candy bar, founded by Milton Hershey of Pennsylvania. The initial form was a square of milk chocolate. Hershey's milk chocolate candy bar was first introduced in 1900, followed by other Hershey's bars like Hershey's Milk Chocolate with Almonds in 1908. Milton Snavely Hershey, who aspired to make a new sort of caramel in the late 1880, invented the procedure for making Hershey's chocolate. Milton had previously learned how to make a soft caramel with milk while working at a candy shop, and he thought it was superior to the competition.
